PE DaysPE DaysPE Days

Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday.

These may change without notice so please make sure PE kits are brought in each Monday and left until Friday. Thank you.

HomeworkHomeworkHomework

Children will bring homework home on a Friday and it is to be handed back in at school by the following Wednesday.

Thank you.

Please find below some of the things we have been doing this year...

Topic Lesson Comparisons...

In year 2 we have been looking at olden day toys and comparing them to toys now. We loved playing with the toys which we have borrowed from Preston Hall Museum- it has really enhanced our learning!

Topic Launch Open Afternoon

Year 2 had a wonderful time creating olden day toys for our new topic of 'how have leisure activities changed over time'. A huge thank you to all parents that were able to attend- we really appreciate your continual support!

Year 2 Science

In Year 2 we have been learning about 'Everyday materials and their uses' in science. In this lesson, we discussed the suitability of different kitchen roll and how absorbent different types were. We loved being scientists for the afternoon!

Great start to Year 2!

In Year 2 we have had a wonderful first week! We have been putting our atlas reading skills to the test in topic lessons where we have been identifying countries in the UK. For our topic launch we created a super large version of the welsh flag which can be seen outside of the Year 1 classroom! We can't wait for the fun the rest of the year will bring.
