Welcome to Year 3!

Welcome to year 3! I am very happy to be the year 3 teacher. On our page there are all the things we are doing in class and any information which we discover throughout the year.

Year 3 is a jump up into Key Stage 2. The work may seem tricky to start off with but it is appropriately matched to our needs. We love trying new things and challenging ourselves in lots of different ways.

Thank you.

Please find below some of the things we have been doing this year...

Year 3 all kitted up and taking on the steps challenge!

World Book Day

Not even the snow stopped us celebrating World Book Day. We all came dressed up as our favourite characters and our costumes looked amazing. During the day we got to share our favourite stories to younger pupils and we got to do some book related activities, including creating our own book cover involving our characters and creating posters of our favourite book quotes.

Marvelous Maths!

In maths we have been learning about capacity and mass. We've had such an exciting time reading scales and comparing different amounts. We found it a little bit trick comparing different liquid when they were in different sized containers and we've learnt that the tallest containers don't necessarily hold the most liquid!

Class Assembly

We put on our class assembly for our parents and the whole school. Everyone was incredibly confident and carried it out with great success! Well done!
