At our school, we are committed to creating a caring, safe and supportive environment for our children in line with the school’s Christian ethos and values.
Behaviour at our school is about how children respect and appreciate each other, their right to learn and the importance of the part they all play in our school community. Each child is taught to be responsible for their own actions and how to make situations better when things go wrong.
Children are rewarded for the characteristics they display in and around school, whether that be one of our Christian Values or the ‘super circle values’ above our classroom traffic light system which include passion, determination, self-belief, respect, honesty and teamwork. They are also rewarded for their academic efforts rather than outcomes as we ensure each child attempts to improve themselves and appreciate that learning is a process full of failures as well as successes.
Parent and Carer Conduct
We strongly believe that our school should be a welcoming and safe place for our children, staff, parents and visitors alike and that our parents share that belief. We have legal responsibilities for the safeguarding and well-being of children and staff, and a duty of care to all users of our school.
All adults who enter our school site at any time set examples of behaviour and conduct which influence children and young people and we believe that they should therefore demonstrate high standards of conduct in order to encourage our pupils to do the same. Parents and carers must show respect to all other parents and carers, children and staff.
