Emotional First Aid for Parents Course

“It is our belief that a child’s emotional well-being and resilience is a reflection of that modelled by their parents. If we can promote a greater sense of positive emotional well-being with the parents, it may create a healthier emotional environment within the family.” Solent NHS Trust

NYCC Prevention Service will be delivering an exciting new course over the summer term, called Emotional First Aid for Parents. It is not a parenting course but focuses on a parent’s own emotional wellbeing, and will be prioritising places for military families. It is a 6 week course that was developed by Solent NHS Trust. It is suitable for all parents, irrespective of the age of their children, although is not meant for a family in crisis. The course can take up to 12 parents, with no more than one adult per family.  Further information about the course can be found in this leaflet.
The course will be running from Carnagill Children’s Centre, from 9:30 – 12:30 each Friday morning from 9th June until the 21st July.

Do you want to find out a bit more about it? If so, please contact the course facilitators:
